Usually I would open a debate on the budget speech for the development of websites. This time, however, speaking not of unclear information that the customer "average" gives the web designer or web agency, but the information void.
How much does a site like that?

This is a recurring question. This is a question wrong, too. The reason is plain. The customer who asks:

• Does not have an idea of the site that wants to develop;
• Does not have a detailed design of the site;
• Does not have a clear idea of what a site.

In all three cases, the problem is the same: a site is as unique as its owner.

Why cannot answer this question?

Why:

• Not me I did the site you're asking the customer;
• I do not know how it was made (read: we use a particular CMS or other technologies that are not visible grossly?)
• I do not know who it was made (read: everyone has their own prices);
• I do not know how much of what is online is provided by third parties and what the customer;

In any case, the problem is the same: a site is built to precise customer needs and your company.

2. Your site, even if done by the same number of pages to your competitor, could cost ten times less so, as ten times more.
3. Your site could (and should) be completely different from that of your competitor.
4. Your site can not be defined on the basis of a price, but a real need.
5. Your site is that it offers and how much one earns.
6. Your site is the result of what you have shown over the years to your customers and what they continue to show them.
7. Your site is a virtual presence for its own sake, but the virtual presence, which will affect the real one.
8. Your site is a memory that will leave traces on the web, as well as leave you in the world.
9. Your site must be planned as it is scheduled to your business or profession.
10. Your site must not be a site at all costs; otherwise it is better not to have it
